Heavy Police Presence in Bloodvein After Killings

There’s a huge police presence this morning on Bloodvein First Nation after a pair of murders in the last week.

More than 20 RCMP officers are on scene to investigate the deaths of 52 year old Cliff Malnyk on Saturday and 31 year old Timothy Goosehead on Monday.

A 17 year old boy is facing murder charges in both slayings, while a 15 year old is facing an assault charge in one of them.

The community is about 200 kilometres north of Winnipeg and usually only has two mounties on patrol.
