It’s a beautiful day for a walk.
And the organizer of one event hopes you’ll do just that.
Matt Carreau is head of Jane’s Walk Winnipeg, which is offering free heel-toe guided tours. “It celebrates the legacy of Jane Jacobs who is an urban writer and activist writing in the ’60s who advocated for an approach to city planning that considered the needs of pedestrians,” Carreau told 680 CJOB.
Carreau says there are 25 walks in many Winnipeg neighbourhoods that feature information on history, architecture and more.
