If you’re looking for something to do this New Years Day, your options are very limited.
Movie theaters are open all day. But shopping centres, government run liquor stores and select grocery stores have shut their doors for New Years.
There will also be no garbage collection on New Years Day. The city is asking people that normally have collection on Friday to put your recycling and garbage carts out one day later.
Leisure Centres, libraries and public pools are all closed. Winnipeg Transit is also running on a Sunday schedule.
Meanwhile, the city says 311 services are available throughout the holidays 24 hours a day.
