Manitoba gets an “F” on its report card for how well it is doing at removing red tape for businesses.
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business says that ranks us last in Canada. It’s worse than last year’s “D” grade.
Ahead of this morning’s report, the province announced an action strategy for red tape reduction yesterday afternoon.
But the CFIB’s Elliot Sims says actions speak louder than words.
“The reality is that the government has made many announcements about their intentions about red tape accountability over the years. Unfortunately there hasn’t been much action to implement those intentions,” he said.
British Columbia was the only province to make the honour roll with an “A”.
