Gas up like it’s 2009.
It has been seven years since you could fill up for prices this low. Gas has plummeted to an average price of 79.9 a litre in Winnipeg with some locations selling gas as cheap as 69.9. And it may be a while before gas prices start to climb again.
“The bigger picture is, ‘Where does crude go?’ and more importantly, ‘Where do gasoline futures go?'” explains Dan McTeague with GasBuddy.com. “Right now, all indications are that it’s dropping dramatically and will continue to do so.”
McTeague adds that gas prices traditionally fall in January due to a drop in demand.
