Winnipeg Police need your help finding two men who threw a disabled boy into a dumpster.
The 13-year-old told investigators he was attacked and thrown into the bin on January 7th along Flora Avenue near McKenzie.
The young boy, living with an intellectual disability, remained in the dumpster for several hours, but was not seriously hurt.
Detective-Sargent Rob Kanaski tells 680 CJOB, he was found and helped out by a woman.
“Our female witness that actually found the him in the dumpster, when she was helping him out of the dumpster, all she heard was a male voice yell out something regarding him and the garbage bin.”
Officers have not been able to locate that man and want to talk to him.
The victims father, John Morrissette is begging anyone who saw something to call police.
“Think about it as being your kid, your son, your daughter. Just put yourself in my situation, for even a brief moment, take that time to stop and think about your child and how you would feel.”
There are no descriptions of the two suspects either. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
