For the second straight night the Manitoba Moose took Stockton to overtime. But once again they were defeated, going down 3-2 in OT to the Heat.
Scott Kosmachuk opened the scoring as the Moose took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Stockton scored a pair of unanswered goals in the second for a one goal lead into the third. Matt Fraser scored in the dying minutes for the tying goal and a second straight night of extra time.
It didn’t take long for the Heat to get a second straight win over the Moose. Aaron Johnson put the game away just 35 seconds into overtime with his goal.
After a 49 save performance by Eric Comrie in Friday’s loss, Jussi Olkinuora stopped 44 of 47 shots he faced in the losing effort.
The Moose continue their road trip Tuesday in Bakersfield as they look to end a 5 game losing skid.
