While Dustin Byfuglien will play Tuesday against St.Louis with a fresh 5-year contract extension, Drew Stafford will be sitting out. The Winnipeg Jets forward has been suspended one game by the NHL.
The news comes following a high sticking incident Saturday night against Colorado. Stafford’s stick came up and caught Colorado Avalanche defenseman Nick Holden in the face.
On the play Stafford was assessed a double minor for high-sticking.
Stafford will miss the Jets game against St. Louis, which starts Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
