Families of Manitoba’s missing and murdered indigenous women and girls are having their say on a national inquiry today.
Indigenous and Northern Affairs Minister Carolyn Bennett is in Winnipeg today to hear from survivors, Indigenous leaders and others.
The goal is to find out what they want to see come out of a national inquiry, and who should be involved.
Pre-inquiries are being held across the country. A summary of what came out of the Winnipeg meeting will be posted online down the road.
