Are you always honest with your significant other? What about when it comes to money?
A new survey shows one-third of us want to keep some secrets.
Those who told the Bank of Montreal poll they like to keep some money mysteries had different reasons.
The most wanted to hide what they were spending it on – like those shoes hidden in the back of the closet.
Others wanted to hide how much they spend. Or how much they have. Or don’t have (debt).
They may just want to avoid an argument. One-fifth of couples said they argue about money weekly.
Not everyone feels the need to keep a secret. One quarter of Canadians said they share all of their finances.
