U of M Manitoba Men’s Hockey Team third year forward Jordan DePape (#27) has become the first Bison to win a Conference scoring title since the merger of the Canada West and Great Plains Athletic Conference in 1985-86.

DePape scored a conference leading 19 goals and was fourth in assists with 22 for 41 points while suiting up for all 28 regular season games. The 23 year old Winnipegger finished 5 points ahead of the second leading scorer and included in that performance was a 15 game points streak that began on October 25th and continued through January 16th.
The Bisons finished fourth during the regular season with a 13-13-2 record and will host the fifth place Calgary Dinos (12-12-4) in a best of 3 quarterfinal round playoff starting Friday Night at the Wayne Fleming Arena at Max Bell Centre. Game Two of the series is set for Saturday Night at 7 p.m. and if a third and deciding game is needed it will be played Sunday Afternoon at 3 p.m.
