With the number of new barricade zones starting up this week, it feels like summer time! It’s too bad the weather doesn’t agree…
New projects this week include:
Broadway, the WB lanes will be closed from Langside to Sherbrook, leaving the EB lanes for travel in both directions as crews work on the sewer. This will remain in place until the end of next week.
Starting on Wednesday and running into next week, SB Maryland will lose the west curb lane for hydro work from St. Matthews to Portage. This will cause a delay in the afternoons.
From Tuesday until Thursday, Portage Avenue both EB and WB will lose the curb lanes between Minto and Goudling for MTS work, while Regent Avenue EB will see the curb lane and second lane closed. In the afternoon, only the curb lane will be closed which will help ease traffic flow that normally heads east.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Roblin Boulevard between Assiniboine Park Drive and Wexford will see the WB curb lane closed for utility work.
Also on Tuesday and Wednesday, the NB median lane on Hargrave Street will be closed for construction between Graham and St. Mary.
From Wednesday until Friday, River Avenue WB between Gerard and Nassau, the curb lane will be closed for manhole repairs.
On Thursday, Elizabeth Road between Arundel to Maginot will be closed for railway reconstruction from 9am to 7pm.
Ongoing projects include:
- SB Main from just south of Portage through to Pioneer, the two right hand lanes are closed for hydro manhole work.
- SB Kenaston from Rothwell to Lindenwood, the curb lane is closed for utility work until end of day Wednesday.
- NB Sherbrook at Portage, the east curb lane and bicycle lane remains closed for hydro work.
