The Trans Canada Highway is now open again between Portage la Prairie and Headingley.
Icy conditions, fog and a crash closed the stretch for about two hours on Friday.
Multiple vehicles had collided just east of Elie, including three semi-trailers. One was jack-knifed across the road.
The highway re-opened just before 1 p.m.
RCMP say they have received reports of multiple crashes and cars in the ditch in many different areas today, but none with serious injuries so far.
