Some ice-fisherman will have to move their huts this weekend.
The province is going to start ice cutting on the Red River north of Selkirk on Sunday.
The Amphibex will then take to the frozen waterway the next day.
It’s all part of the flood-fighting effort and making sure there’s no ice-jams.
The work will be done between Netley Creek and Netley Lake.
Notices are up in the areas affected to let ice-fishers, snowmobilers know they’ll be affected.
