A few major road projects remain in effect this week, the first of which – SB Main from south of Portage through to Pioneer, you lose two lanes on the right hand side. Lineups begin forming in your afternoon rush around Logan Avenue.
The other one is SB Maryland where barricades from St. Matthews to Portage have taken away two lanes on the right hand side. This project is set to last through the week, and we see some very slow moving traffic throughout the afternoon drive with lineups extending back to Sargent Avenue.
The other ongoing project is on Broadway where the WB lanes are closed from Langside to Sherbrook meaning single-file is maintained on the EB side. This will take us through the end of the week and is due to sewer repairs.
New projects beginning this week include:
- Beginning on Sunday and running until Thursday, EB Stradbrook from Osborne to Scott, the curb lane will be closed for sewer repairs.
- On Tuesday and running until Thursday, SB Roblin Boulevard will see intermittent lane closures between Marlton and Grant for sewer work.
- On Wednesday, Ferry Road SB from Silver to Ness, the curb lane is closed for hydro work until the end of next week.
On Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm, NB Osborne will see some intermittent lane closures at Corydon Avenue for pavement testing, while Sturgeon Road from Murray Park and Thornton, intermittent stoppages of traffic will occur for 10 minute periods for hydro cable crossing during non-peak hours for the next couple of weeks.
