Almost eight years after he beheaded a man aboard a Greyhound Bus, Vince Li could soon be living on his own.
Manitoba’s Criminal Code Review Board says Li should stay in a group home for now.
But a move to “independent living” could happen in the future.
The board says it needs to see an updated assessment on Li, who now goes by the name Will Baker.
They also want a detailed community living plan before signing off. It’s unclear exactly when that might happen.
Li was found not criminally responsible in the 2008 killing of 22-year-old Tim McLean.
His doctors say his schizophrenia has long been under control, thanks to medication.
