A pair of quick second period goals were enough to lift the Pittsburgh Penguins over the Winnipeg Jets Saturday afternoon. Kris Letang and Carl Hagelin scored 23 seconds apart in a 4-1 win for the Pens.
Blake Wheeler got the Jets on the board late in the second to narrow the gap into the third. Pittsburgh put in another pair of unanswered markers to cruise to victory.
Michael Hutchinson stopped 27 of 31 shots in the loss as the Jets fall for the 5th time in their last 6 games.
They look to get back on track on Tuesday with a visit to the Florida Panthers.
