As of today, Canadian cable providers are mandated by the CRTC to offer stripped down bundles of basic TV options – for $25.
This packages is required to include Canada’s big-3 networks, as well as public interest stations and minority French- or English-language channels.
While you get to choose among between basic and higher tier packages, a survey last year for the Cable and Telecommunications Association found 57 per cent of consumers plan to keep or even add channels with their existing service.
