A state-of-the art treatment centre will be re-opening in Gimli in mid-April.
The Aurora Recovery centre first opened last November, but has temporarily closed.
Founder Ian Rabb tells 680 CJOB they’re doing some re-adjusting, so they’re not taking clients right now.
But he adds the response has been great.
“It’s a very needed service in Manitoba, we have the really only the medical detox facility in the province. The wait time for treatment beds here is two to three months so it’s a very needed service and I look forward to providing that service in the future.”
The centre, at the former Misty Lake Lodge houses 16 medical detox beds as well as 54 other beds and a range of treatment programs.
