There are a couple of planned power outages in Winnipeg right now as Manitoba Hydro does some upgrades.
Roughly 1,700 customers will be affected in Elmwood until about 6:30 this morning to accomodate switching the area’s electricity to the new Martin Avenue substation.
Some street lights on Nairn Avenue and Talbot Avenue between Grey and Panet Road are also be affected.
Another outage is happening in the West End, between 6:00-7:00 a.m., for some maintenance and upgrades.
Approximately 665 customers will be affected there.
