How will marijuana be bought and sold when it becomes legalized in Canada?
It’s only a matter of time, so a lot of governments and agencies are already doing their due diligence.
Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries President John Stinson was impressed by what he found on a fact-finding mission to Denver.
“I saw a couple of retail models that I think could work in Canada. They’re very positive and great access for customers, but very controlled so you can control the age access, etc.”
Stinson says it’s feasible that they can find a model to set up marijuana sales at Manitoba Liquor Marts.
“I think there’s an opportunity for regulated liquor suppliers and retailers in Canada, the Crown corporations, to be the retailers when legalized recreational marijuana hits the scene over the next number of years.”
Legalizing pot is something the Liberal government has vowed to accomplish.
