The Manitoba Moose kicked off a 2 game home series vs Iowa with a 2-1 loss to the Wild Monday Night. The visitors snapped a scoreless tie by scoring with just 1 second left in the second period. The Wild upped the lead to 2-0 with a power play goal just before the 3 minute mark of the third period before Patrice Cormier was able to get Manitoba on the board with his 12th goal of the season at 18:31 of the final frame.
Former Calgary Flame, Leland Irving was outstanding between the pipes for Iowa with 32 saves while Eric Comrie delivered another strong performance for the 18-32-9 Baby Jets by stopping 27 shots.
