Winnipeg’s Matt Dunstone ended “the bleeding” of two straight losses at the World Junior Men’s Curling Championship in Taarnby, Denmark with a 12-2 thrashing of Korea in the wee hours of Wednesday Morning.
The Canadian Champs burst out of the starting gates with a four ender in the first, and followed with another four on the fourth end. The rinks shook hands after as Dunstone improved to 3-2 and a share of fourth place with Russia at 3-2.
The Canadian skip and his crew are back on the ice at Noon on Wednesday to play the host Danes.
Nova Scotia’s Mary Fay and Korea are tied for top spot in the Junior Women’s Standings with 5-0 records. The Canadian foursome have a big game at 7 a.m. CST on Wednesday morning versus the 4-1 United States before a first place showdown with Korea at 2 a.m. Thursday Morning.
