The mixed bag of weather this week could lead to a mixed bag of work for city crews.
Right now, streets and maintenance boss Jim Berezowski tells us crews are doing the usual spring work.
“We’re out there steaming culverts and catch basins. We’re doing ditching work to open up those main drains.”
While the temperatures are going to be spring-like during the day, at night they will hit or drop below zero and it could be snowing by the middle of the week. Berezowski tells us that can lead to a lot of surprises.
“They are patching potholes on the streets, and you’re also salting and sanding some of the sections of the roadways that are slick overnight.”
The forecast calls for daytime temperatures to drop below zero by the end of the week.
