A number of students and staff have been affected by bear mace at Fort Richmond Collegiate.
Pembina Trails School Division Superintendent Ted Franzen tells 680 CJOB it happened around 11:30 this morning.
“A student brought bear mace to school and targeted an individual student with the spray. The impact of releasing the spray, about a dozen people were affected, six staff and six students.”
The school was evacuated and students are asked to come back this afternoon for period five.
Police are at the scene talking to a suspect and the victims.
