There will officially be another political party on the ballot when you vote on April 19th.
The Manitoba Party is now a registered party.
They have 11 candidates, so far, running in the upcoming election.
Registering with the Chief Electoral Officer allows the party to be identified on the ballot beside the name of its endorsed candidates, issue tax receipts for contributions, receive reimbursement for election expenses, and receive an annual allowance.
The Manitoba Party formed in December of last year. If elected, they would reduce the Provincial Sales Tax to 5 per cent or by 1 per cent per year over a 4 year period to ultimately 4 per cent. They also would charge PST on all food items, even those purchased within restaurants.
