If you try to rob the same place three times in a week, it might make it easier for police to catch you.
A 19-year-old from the south end of Winnipeg is behind bars after allegedly robbing a convenience store on Dalhousie Drive near the U of M three times since last Tuesday.
The third time happened yesterday afternoon, which turned out to the charm for police.
“Information received at the time was that a male suspect, possibly armed with a knife, had just robbed a business and fled the building,” Constable Rob Carver explains. “No injuries were sustained in the robbery.”
Police searched the area and found Michael Ryan Harper in a nearby residence. He’s been charged with three counts each of robbery, possessing a weapon and wearing a disguise. He was allegedly wearing a ski mask.
