Brent Seabrook scored the winner 1:02 into overtime as the Winnipeg Jets lost to the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4.
Each team had multiple leads in the back-and-forth affair. Nic Petan opened the scoring for the Jets in the first before Chicago took the lead into the first intermission.
Blake Wheeler tied the game midway through the second before Patrick Kane scored his 40th of the season to regain the lead.
The Jets roared out of the gates in the third as Dustin Byfuglien tied the game with his 18th. Just over midway through the frame Wheeler scored to give Winnipeg the lead, but Artemi Panarin scored his second of the game with under five minutes left to send it to overtime.
The Blackhawks were without Duncan Keith, who received a six-game suspension for deliberately high-sticking Minnesota’s Charlie Coyle.
Ondrej Pavelec made 22 saves in the loss. The Jets play their last home game Sunday against Minnesota at 7 p.m.
