The Winnipeg Jets have recalled defenceman Brenden Kichton from the Manitoba Moose for their season ending three game road trip to California which begins Tuesday Night in Anaheim.
And the Jets have also recalled forward Brendan Lemieux from Windsor and assigned him to the AHL Moose. The Spitfires were eliminated from the OHL playoffs in a series ending 5-2 loss to the Kitchener Rangers on Friday Night.
Kichton is in his third season with the Moose and had 10-28-38 in 65 games at the time of his recall. The 23 year old defenceman was recalled on an emergency basis for the March 26th game in Buffalo but did not play. In 206 career AHL games, Kitchton has 28-87-115 after being selected in the 7th round of the 2013 NHL entry draft by Winnipeg.
Lemieux was acquired by the Jets in the February 11/2015 trade with Buffalo and was signed to a three year entry level contract by Winnipeg this past July. The 20 year old 6-1, 210 pound left winger split the 2015-16 season between the Barrie Colts and Windsor, totaling 32-30-62 in 45 games.
