Portage Ave has been full of construction the last couple of weeks, and the latest is EB from Arlington St to Home St. That block will lose the curb lane on Monday and Tuesday. The sidewalk will also be shut down as well.
The good news is, the work that was being done in front of the University of Winnipeg which lost both left hand lanes, has finished up.
Also on Monday and Tuesday, SB Memorial Blvd will lose the median lane for sewer repairs from St. Mary Ave to York Ave.
One other long-term project in the downtown, NB Fort St from Graham Ave to St. Mary Ave, the left hand lane will be closed for the next couple of months.
Starting up on Wednesday and running until the weekend, NB Keewaitin will lose the curb lane for sewer repairs from Manitoba to Burrows.
There are also a few bridge inspections happening this week:
- On Thursday, the St. James Bridge will see some intermittent lane closures on the SB side between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
- On Thursday, the Midtown Bridge will see intermittent lane closures in both directions between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
- On Friday, the St. Vital Bridge will see intermittent lane closures in both directions between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
Ongoing road projects include:
- SB Maryland from St. Matthews to Portage, you lose the two lanes on your right hand side for hydro work until the end of the month.
