The city will continue to use malathion to battle mosquitoes this summer.
They say they have roughly 4,500 litres of the chemical, which is enough to treat the entire city two and a half times.
Superintendent of insect control Ken Nawolsky says the city plans on switching to a more environmentally-friendly product called DeltaGard as soon as next year.
They have done testing with the product and Nawolsky says it worked well, but it has yet to be approved for use in Canada.
He also warned that you can expect to see a lot of forest tent caterpillars in May and June.
