Yesterday on Winnipeg’s Morning News, my co-host Richard Cloutier and I got into a discussion about CDs as I had mentioned I purchased one recently.
Yesterday afternoon, I happened to run into Mayor Brian Bowman at a news conference. The first thing he said to me was “CDs? Who buys those anymore?”
Well a discussion then ensued about how we consume music these days. Mayor Bowman said he couldn’t remember the last time he purchased a CD. He’s all about the downloading now.
So it made me wonder – am I the only one? Am I “old school” and not with the times because I don’t download music? Oh and I’m not afraid to admit that I miss vinyl too. I am glad that it’s making a comeback! There is something to be said about liner notes, song lyrics and pictures.
What about you? How do you consume music these days? Tell me there’s still a little old school left in you too…
