While it’s been a less than spectacular season, fans of the Manitoba Moose go home happy after a 5-4 comeback win over Rockford. The victory wraps up Manitoba’s home schedule.
Rockford had control in the early going by scoring 4 in the opening period. Brenden Kichton and Chase De Leo scored for the Moose as they went into the second down 4-2.
After 20 the Moose took over and chipped away at the deficit. Brendan Lemieux scored the only goal of the second with the Ice Hogs leading 4-3 into the third.
De Leo scored his second of the game to even things up before a late goal by Dan DeSalvo gave the Moose their first lead, and the win.
Connor Hellebuyck stopped 39 of 43 shots for the victory.
The Moose wrap up their season on the road as they visit San Antonio Friday and Texas on Saturday to end off the schedule.
