On the day the players cleaned out their lockers, the Winnipeg Jets signed 2015 First Round Draft Pick Kyle Connor to a three-year, two-way NHL Entry-Level Contract.
The 19-year-old , 6’1″, 175-pound left winger was the top scorer in the NCAA Division One ranks during the 2015-16 season with 35 goals and 36 assists for 71 points in 38 games for the Wolverines.
“He’s a guy that has some really explosive skills, his speed and his talent level,” explains Jets head coach Paul Maurice. “He had a good camp last year, and he’ll get every opportunity, like anybody, to come in and show what he’s capable of doing.”
The deal begins in 2016-17 and is worth an average annual value of $1.775 million.
