A high water advisory has been issued for lakes in the Whiteshell.
The Hydrologic Forecast Centre says rainfall and late spring run-off are behind the rise in water levels.
The province says West Hawk Lake is close to the top of its operating range and Falcon Lake is above its operating range.
As a result, some low-lying cottages may be at risk.
Depending on rainfall amounts the high water could be in place for close to a month.
