We’re getting closer to some answers about what happened the day five Winnipeg Police officers shot a man to death after a wild chase through the city.
Manitoba’s Independent Investigations Unit says it’s almost completed a probe into the death of Mark Disesare, who died after being shot in a field near Kapyong Barracks in November.
Witnesses described him leading officers on a high speed chase, and some said he was waving a gun out the window of his car.
The five police officers involved were taken off active duty. It’s unclear if they are back at work.
None of the officers are accused of any wrongdoing.
