Searchers are gathering to help look for a missing woman, 60, last seen in St. James yesterday morning.
Catherine Curtis was last seen leaving Grace Hospital around 9:45 Monday morning.
Her daughter Janelle DePeazer says Catherine was being treated for anxiety and depression.
“We are concerned about her health and safety at this point in time,” she said.
She says this is unusual behaviour for her mother even with her mental illness.
“Right now I would think she’s in kind of a frazzled state and she’s quite frail, so we’re hoping that she’s safe and sound right now,” DePeazer said.
Residents in the St. James area are asked to search their properties and outbuildings for any sign of her in case of a medical issue.
Volunteers who want to help search or distribute flyers are asked to meet at the Sturgeon Creek Community Centre.
Catherine is 5’4” tall, quite thin, with long white hair worn in a ponytail and blue eyes.
Her daughter says she was last seen on the hospital security camera wearing a navy blue jacket, plaid pants and white runners.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Winnipeg Police Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
