A day after wrapping up their three day Offensive Players Mini Camp, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers added a pair of Defensive Players to their camp roster. And five players were also released, including veteran Kick Returner Troy Stoudermire.

The former University of Minnesota Star Defensive Back made an immediate impact in terms of “flipping the field” when he first joined the Bombers during the 2014 season. But last year Stoudermire wasn’t nearly as effective and also committed some costly turnovers that presumably resulted in the team deciding to open up that job for the start of Main Camp in late May.
Several of the candidates to take over include speedsters Justin Veltung and Quincy McDuffie who were with the Blue Bombers last season. As well as recently signed former NY Giant Julian Talley who had a solid showing at mini camp.
Also released on Thursday were receivers Jhomo Gordon and Spencer Davis along with Defensive Linemen Chase Vaughn and Leon Mackey.
Coming on board are former Alabama Crimson Tide Defensive Lineman Adrian Hubbard and ex-Grambling State University Defensive Back Arthur Williams.
Hubbard is 6-5, 255 pounds from Washington, DC and was with the ‘Bama teams that captured back to back National championships in 2012 and 2013. He spent all of 2014 on the Green Bay Packers Practice Squad after being passed over in the NFL Draft that year.
The 6-3, 205 pound Williams is from Grambling, Louisiana and returned to his hometown to play 2 seasons, starting 8 of the 22 games he dressed for.
