It was a night of fires across Winnipeg.
Crews had to put down a dozen fires in different parts of the city – the West End, River Heights and the North End – Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Whether any of them were arson remains to be seen. For now, they have all been deemed suspicious.
Crazy night again last night for Winnipeg Fire crews as they responded to numerous likely arsons. 12 fires!

A fire in the 400 block of McGee is under investigation for just that. A fence and a garbage bin burned. One person has been arrested.
The fire department was also called to the 600 block of Redwood Avenue, the 400 block of Furby, the 600 block of Waterloo, 700 block of Tache, 2700 block of Ness, some grass fires on Waterfront Drive, 1100 block of Wilkes, 500 Aberdeen Avenue, a garbage fire on Grandmont Boulevard and a car fire at College Avenue and McPhillips.
There are no reports of anyone being hurt. None of the fires were very big.
