If you’re looking to get out and enjoy the nice weather on your bicycle, there are four spots in the city for you to do that without worrying about traffic.
Sunday and holiday bike lanes take effect today and will occur every Sunday and holiday from until Thanksgiving.
The following four spots are affected:
-Lyndale Drive (from Cromwell St. to Gauvin St.)
-Scotia Street (from Anderson Ave. to Armstrong Ave.)
-Wellington Crescent (from Academy Rd. to Guelph St.)
-Wolseley Avenue (from Raglan Rd. to Maryland St.)
From 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., motor vehicle traffic will not be allowed to travel more than a block. If you are caught trying to push your luck, you could get a ticket.
Signs are posted on all affected roadways clearly marking when you’re entering these special bicycle routes, and barricades will be placed at the beginning and end of zones.
