After losing the country’s top job in the fall election, former Prime Minister Stephen Harper is now leaving Parliament altogether.
Harper will step down as an MP before the fall session.
He remained in office following the Conservative loss in last year’s federal election, and has attended a majority of votes in the House since then.
But, he’s never spoken in the House of Commons since October.
Harper was replaced as leader of the Conservatives on an interim basis by Rona Ambrose.
The party is expected to select a new leader next spring.
