A Winnipeg cab driver has been charged with sexual assault after an incident on the job.
Police say on May 15, a woman was picked up by a man police say “was working in the capacity of providing local transportation” on Broadway around midnight.
It’s alleged the driver made inappropriate sexual advances, which the woman declined.
Police say she was then sexually assaulted.
After the woman was dropped off, she phoned police.
Earlier this week, after learning about the investigation, police allege the driver went to the victim’s home and offered her money to drop her complaint.
A 55-year-old man is also charged with attempting to obstruct justice.
