WINNIPEG – An artifact from a young human rights champion is now on display in Winnipeg.
The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is home to Malala Yousafzai’s school outfit.
The museum’s Maureen Fitzhenry tells 680 CJOB the blood stained garment is a remnant of the Taliban’s attempt on the girl’s life in 2012.
“So she survived that attack and has gone to continue, in even greater effort, to advocate for girls’ education all around the world,” said Fitzhenry.
Yousafzai’s outfit and her nobel peace prize diploma will be at the Museum until March of 2017.
