PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE – It’s been a traffic nightmare.
The Manitoba Air Show has undoubtedly brought thrills to those in attendance, but there are many who didn’t even make it to the show.
Huge lineups were on all highways heading towards Southport on Saturday afternoon. We received countless calls and texts from people who gave up after two hours and went home.

A few people have told us the Air Show was down to one entrance because the second one was too muddy. There is also a construction zone on Highway 1 near the site, where traffic is having to merge into one lane, but the slowdowns aren’t just on Highway 1. Highways 240, 248, 330, 331 were all backed up.
