Winnipeg – Running back Andrew Harris limped off the field near the end of the Blue Bombers Tuesday practice after extending himself to try to catch up to an overthrown pass. Harris appeared to be walking without any trouble when the practice ended. Head coach Mike O’Shea said that Harris was being examined, he didn’t think it was anything serious, but he was unsure of his status for Friday’s game against Montreal. If Harris can’t go the Bombers would likely activate import running back Timothy Flanders.
Defensive tackle Euclid Cummings was back on the field after missing Monday’s workout with a minor injury and linebacker Sam Hurl and receiver Weston Dressler were going full speed for the second day in a row after missing much of training camp due to injury. The status of cornerback Johnny Adams remains uncertain. Adams has been out for most of the pre-season. If he can’t practice on Wednesday, either CJ Wilson or Kevin Fogg would take his place against the Alouettes.
O’Shea hasn’t confirmed it yet, but the few 3rd team reps that were given to a quarterback in practice on Tuesday were all given to Dominique Davis, making it fairly obvious that he has beaten out Brian Bennett for the number three quarterback spot.
