A Winnipeg search group that has gained national attention will now work out of more cities.
Patrol groups in Kenora, and in Regina have been started both to be modelled after the Bear Clan Patrol.
The group was established in 1992, and after a few years took a break. But in 2014, their leader, James Favel, decided to revive it, after the death of 15 year old Tina Fontaine.
The Bear Clan Patrol is made up of community members who help to look for and protect those who are vulnerable. The Winnipeg branch now has over 100 volunteers.
The partrol helped in the search for missing 2 year old Chase Martens and 17 year old Cooper Nemeth.
