WINNIPEG – Another hurdle has been crossed for the almost 4-billion dollar takeover of MTS.
Today, the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench approved BCE, or Bell’s buyout of the Manitoba company.
Last week, MTS shareholders gave it the green light.
The work isn’t done yet.
The process now moves to getting approvals from the Competition Bureau, CRTC and the federal minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.
If approved the deal could be done by late this year or early in 2017.
