BOISSEVAIN – The clock is ticking on the Peace Tower at the International Peace Garden.
Plans to knock it down have been in place for some time, and now it looks like the tower will be knocked down in the winter.
The tower, which is over three decades old, will be taken down because of structural problems.
The monument will be lit up in nightly celebration as its time winds to a close.
As for a replacement, the Garden’s board of directors is holding a competition to determine one.
