WINNIPEG – Leads have been hard to come by in the search for missing Winnipeg grandmother Thelma Krull.
The 57-year-old was last seen a year ago in the Civic Park area near Valley Gardens Community Centre.
On Monday, police released some new information, including some photos of a woman who may have seen Krull in that area. They wanted to talk with the woman, hoping she could shed some light on Krull’s disappearance.
Police have now identified the woman, but Constable Jason Michalyshen says it probably won’t help their investigation.
“She was walking in the area, obviously, in the time of Thelma’s disappearance, but unfortunately had nothing new to share for us or anything for us to share publicly at this point.”
Michalyshen says they’re still hoping anyone else who was in the neighbourhood that thinks they might know something will call them.
“We want people to really think back about something that they may have seen or heard, even if it’s something as insignificant as something suspicious or a hunch.”
Police said publicly for the first time yesterday that it’s possible Krull was abducted.
