A new child benefit will put more money in the pockets of families across Canada.
That’s the message from the Liberal government today as local members of parliament announced the implementation of the Canada Child Benefit.
It rolls out later this month and will provide up to $6,400 per child under the age of 6 and $5,400 for children between 6 and 17.
“It will mean millions of dollars into the Manitoba economy but primarily means that families will be helped with the high cost of their kids.” Winnipeg South MP Terry Duguid told 680 CJOB.
